The first “ON THE RIVER IN BLIND RIVER” 2010! This event began as an idea between family & friends on a sunny November 2009 afternoon sitting out on the back deck of my house overlooking the beautiful Blind River.

At that moment we had said “This would be a great place to host a concert”!

I immediately called some bands that I knew: CROOKED ZEBRAS & DAYSLEFT, and asked them if they would be interested in playing. I was not surprised when both bands said yes as I knew that those bands love to perform their music for a crowd of people!

I then proceeded to contact other bands/musicians & vendors (food & novelty) to begin the making of an end of the summer concert/festival that would be held on Sept 4 & 5, 2010. I was fortunate to have some very gifted and talented, high energy musical acts agree to be part of the venture for 2010.

The 2010 line-up included such acts as:

Crooked Zebras - www.crookedzebras.com

DaysLeft - www.myspace.com/daysleftrocks

Head frame - www.headframe.ca/index.php

Josh O'dair - www.myspace.com/joshodair

T.J. Kirby and Alex Cueva who also did great solo performances.

As well we would like to thank our great sponsors for that year who included:

Watershed towing (Gogama, On) provided the massive generator to supply power to the event.

Viking fish & chips (Elliot Lake, On) Supplied many door prizes (dinners for 2) as well as being a ticket outlet for ticket sales.

Northern Variety (Blind River, On) Supplied fireworks and being a ticket outlet for the event.

U-save Furniture & Pawn Shop (Elliot Lake, On) Supplied many door prizes (DVD Movies).

Old Mill Motel (Blind River, On) Offered our Guests 10% off cost of rooms.

Scooters chip wagon (Elliot Lake, On) Food services.

I need to add last but not least the great services of the Guitar Clinic (Sudbury) who provided us with all the sound & light equipment needed to make this concert/festival a success!

Please remember to bring can food donations for local food bank !
